As i promised before – here is my degustation menu at TSURUTOKAME Restaurant in Tokyo at Ginza District.
I went for the longer degustation – small is 10.000 yen big is 16.000 yen BUT this is without tax and no drinks. I was having mint tea so i paid about 18.000 yen.
Oh another little thing – they did not speak english on the phone when i was trying to book a table – so my friend Kyoe helped me giving some details.
Oh!!! there is also another thing u should know about the booking system in Japan – they dont charge u with a security deposit – its not really polite in Japan – however, if they belive u are not reliable and may not going to appear on time in the restaurant – they just simply refuse your booking attempt. In the very top restaurtants simply impossible to get in by yourself – u need a good friend who has a connection or u need to ask your hotel manager to call the restaurant and book a table for you – ensuring the place that u are actually in the hotel and gonna be able to go and enjoy your meal and pay for it of course. And dont forget to think ahead – best places takes booking 3-4-5months in advance. Good luck.
